Eco Home in Paraguay

Today we are working from this eco home in Paraguay. It has a very small environmental footprint with most of it tucked underground. Being located mostly inside the earth insulates the home to ensure optimal temperatures year-round. But despite being in the ground it is kept bright with lots of tall double height windows.
The natural materials of stone and wood harmonize with the green hills which surround and encompass the home and gives it a natural earthy feel but there is also an interesting contrast in design to the soft natural lines with the home and the pools sharp straight lines and edges. It has a modern minimal appeal and all of the creature comforts.
The fridge is full, the pool is ready. Today we are in Paraguay!!

The more private spaces: bedrooms and car parking are even more hidden from view and found within these mounds of earth disguised as hills.
These are actually 2 homes that have a shared pool centerpiece. They are located in Luque, a town in southwestern Paraguay.
