The other raw recipe that is needed is Salsa, and there s a great recipe for that by clicking this Salsa Recipe link. Fresh garden produce gets transformed into a spicy thick sauce, great for dipping our corn chips into. I like ti spicy but you can adjust the heat level to your liking.  Homemade salsa not only has a fresher, cleaner taste but the really great thing is that you know what’s in it and that it doesn’t have any hidden additives or preservatives. Also, it is not heated or bottled, and retains all of it’s living enzymes. So you feel filled, as well as vibrant and energized after eating it.

Now we need our authentic Mexican Guacamole Recipe. Gucamole is so easy to make. The basis of the traditional guacamole recipe is mashed avocados, lemon or lime juice, garlic and salt. Really that’s all there is to it. Some like to add a little cumin and cayenne. That’s optional, as are all of the additional ingredients.

The extra added guacamole ingredients are variable all over, and added depending on region and personal taste preference, like chopped tomatoes, peppers, cilantro and onion. You can choose from the basic recipe to add the ingredients you most enjoy, to create your favorite guacamole.  I’m including my favorite additions below. You can add others, for instance, try adding chipotle pepper, instead of the jalapeno, for a more smoky flavor.

The best guacamole I ever had though was very simple, without any added ingredients. It was in Mexico but maybe it was that hot Mexican sun that added to the experience.  Even so, I can’t resist adding extra ingredients into mine. You can choose which way you want to go, super simple or dressed up.
