This quinoa cakes recipe came about from just seeing a title on a magazine. I googled the recipe when home, but the one I found had lots of ingredients I didn’t want. I was in a mood for something fried. It happens sometimes, not so often, but this presented a challenge, to combine really healthy ingredients, vegan and fried into something really delicious and as healthy as possible. Based on that, especially the delicious part, this was a big success.  || Read more

This herbed couscous recipe is a raw food recipe that has no grain in it. Cauliflower couscous is very easy to make, and so nutritious! Cauliflower floretes are simply processed to resemble couscous. I have lots of photos, so I can virtually bring you into the kitchen with me to show you just how to do it.  Then the couscous is flavored with herbs and pine nuts and spices for a wonderful savory taste. || Read more

This no bake key lime pie recipe is the last video to put up in my raw food recipes video series. Actually this post will have the last 2 videos, one for the pie and another showing how to make the crust, which is amazing! The filling for the pie is incredibly nutritious with an avocado base. The avocado gets completely hidden behind the lime and no one will detect it in there at all. All you notice is a heavenly creamy smooth base with great mouth feel, for the sweet lime flavor to slide over your taste buds on.  || Read more

The idea for this green chia nut cracker recipe came from a few factors I had been thinking of.  First I needed some crackers and wanted to use chia to bind the ingredients, instead of flax, as I often use in crackers. Also, I was craving sea vegetables, and looking for a way to get more of them into my diet, and so the kelp and spirulina in here too. Finally I wanted the crunch of other nut crackers I have made before.  || Read more

This raw rice recipe is made without the rice. The only way to eat rice, according to raw foods techniques, would be by soaking and sprouting it, which I have only seen done well with wild rice. Even with that, it comes out with a more chewy texture and definitely is not soft the way we are used to cooked rice. So to create a base like rice, the best way I have found to do it is with parsnip or cauliflower. || Read more

This protein peanut butter cups recipe is one I decided I needed to make into as healthy a version of as I possibly could, while still keeping the deliciousness, and I wanted a high protein version as well. My kids and family LOVE Reese’s peanut butter cups, so I am thrilled to get down a version that everyone who has tasted them so far has raved over. In fact, everyone so far to taste them says they would take these over the original. Not bad for ramping up the health quotient and making them into a raw food recipe!  || Read more
