Hemp seeds are claimed to be one of the most nutritious and easily digested foods on the earth.
About – Hemp refers to both the Cannabis plant and the seeds cultivated from it. The hemp plant is very fast growing and very environmentally friendly, needing few pesticides and no herbicides.  Hemp is one of the earliest domesticated plants known. It is grown for more than seeds; it provides fiber for clothing and paper, hurd for plastics and oils for nutrition, paints and fuel.

Nutrition – Hemp seeds contain all the essential amino acids and essential fatty acids necessary to maintain healthy human life, in fact hemp seed is the highest in essential fatty acids of any plant known. Hemp has an abundance of nutrients. It is high in vitamins A, C, and E, all powerful antioxidants. Hemp seed is a superior source of protein, containing 25% – 31% protein, second only to soy at 35%. It has all eight essential amino acids and the protein in hemp foods is of more easily digestible form than most protein found in nature. Hemp seed are high in phytosterols, which can help to reduce blood cholesterol levels. They are high in EFA’s, containing an optimal ratio of omega-6 and omega-3. They are also a very good source of omega-9 and as these healthy fats are not stored in our bodies it is important to consume sufficient amounts daily. Hemp seeds help in weight loss, producing long-term appetite satisfaction and they also help the cardiovascular, immune, reproductive, and central nervous systems. Hemp is a superfood that can sustain all of our dietary needs.
